I consider this story one of my top publications because I pitched it to my team after experiencing high egg prices. This affected everyone locally. I showed up to a business where chickens are sold and asked for an interview. This story made it front cover and I received a lot of good feedback from my colleagues. "Get 2 know Texas Olympians heading to Tokyo to compete in track & field"
As history was unfolding at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, I researched and wrote about Texas Olympians. This story was used by KPRC's reporters as a reference during their time in Tokyo. Through this article I learned how quick digital information can reach its audience compared to traditional methods.

This story reflects the power of social media. In my attempt to speak about the issues of drug overdose, I looked for a source who would share their story to help readers connect. Through social media, I found a woman who was able to speak about her experience and how she overcame addiction.
